I am originally from the charming small town of Turtle Lake, located in northwest Wisconsin. I now call Waunakee home with my husband, Derek, our daughter, Emma, and our little yorkie, Reese Rainbow, who is head of security here at AJMJ Design.
We moved to Madison in 2013, drawn to its vibrant energy. But Waunakee, with its small-town charm and easy access to everything Madison offers, stole our hearts in 2016.
When I’m not designing, spending quality time with my family is my happy place. We love escaping up north to the lake, hiking, and traveling. Some of my favorite weekends are spent cheering on my little dancer’s dazzling dance competition performances.
Beyond family, I’m an avid reader, a master organizer (some might say party planner extraordinaire!), and a CrossFit enthusiast who believes in a healthy balance of functional fitness and good food.
I hope this glimpse into my life reveals the passion and energy I pour into everything I do, including my design work at AJMJ Design. Because AJMJ Design isn’t just a company, it’s an extension of me – and I put a piece of my heart into every project I create.

In 2023, Amy Johnson of AJMJ Design was acknowledged in Forbes magazine for her record-breaking fundraising efforts (benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) using strategic design and social media marketing.
I`m excited to share a recent logo project I did for @elliottpaintinginc Elliott Painting Inc., a Madison-based painting company. While they initially sought a more traditional logo, I couldn`t resist adding a fun, colorful option to the handful of samples I presented. The vibrant design ended up being their favorite! 🎨
Creating logos is one of my favorite aspects of design. It`s always rewarding when a client falls in love with a concept. The process of blending creativity with the client`s vision to craft a unique and impactful logo is truly fulfilling.
For Elliot Painting, the colorful option added a playful twist while still capturing the clean, crisp essence of this company`s work. It`s a testament to the power of creativity and taking a bold approach that resonates with clients and brings their vision to life. I am happy to have contributed to Elliot Painting`s brand identity and look forward to more exciting projects ahead!

There is no guaranteed way to secure the top spot in Google search results. Search rankings depend on numerous factors like website quality, relevance, backlinks, and user engagement.
While SEO techniques can improve your chances, it`s an ongoing effort with no guaranteed outcome. Increasing your Google ranking takes time. Even if a website is optimized to perfection, it may take 6 months to a year for Google to recognize those efforts.
My advice? Focus on quality SEO strategies and be patient.
So, next time you see an ad guaranteeing you the #1 Google search listing, be wary. It`s likely a scam.

Not just the athletes but the fans, alumni, students, and the loyal community they are so proud to be a part of.
Above all else, Badgers hold so much pride in their traditions and values deeply rooted in the university`s history and culture.
These traditions and values have shaped the Wisconsin Badgers` identity creating an unmatched sense of pride and unity within the Badger community.
The symbol representing this pride is worn proudly throughout Wisconsin - the University of Wisconsin Badgers logo.
The “W” logo we know, and love has evolved since its creation in 1913.
𝟏𝟗𝟏𝟑-𝟏𝟗𝟐𝟗: The “W” monogram transforms into a “B” when turned to the side.
𝟏𝟗𝟑𝟎-𝟏𝟗𝟑𝟓: O.G. Bucky
𝟏𝟗𝟑𝟔-𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟕: Bucky gets a more “ferocious and menacing” makeover, and the “W” is back!
𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟖-𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟔: Artist Art Evans gave Bucky a more human-like appearance. The proud chest and clenched fists represent the pride of the UW Badgers.
𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟕-𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟏: Simplified block “W” made its appearance.
𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟐-𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟗: Circle added to possibly represent the unending unity of UW Badgers.
𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟎-𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟏: The block logo is replaced with a more collegiate font.
𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟏-𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕: Modernized “W” design. A darker color palette emphasizes the volume of the letter.
𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕-𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲: Just a liiittle bit wider.
Today, the Wisconsin Badgers logo continues to inspire pride and loyalty among fans, alumni, students, the Madison area, and throughout all of Wisconsin, symbolizing the university`s athletic achievements and the spirit of the Badger community.

I can’t believe it has been a year since I completed my campaign and was awarded the Madison Visionary of the Year title. I will always be so proud of this once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment. I think my Dad would be proud of it, too.
With my whole heart, I believe these campaigns really do make a difference. I believe one day, LLS will fund the research team that finally leads us to a world free of blood cancer. I will never stop believing that there is a cure somewhere out there.
